These are the silhouettes I want for 2015 .<\/p>\n

My friend Catherine Whiley from Live Fashion London introduced me years ago to the fantastic slouchy<\/a><\/strong><\/span> world of Bassike \u00a0t shirts , so when this past fall she told me that she was working with R13 \u00a0and their new line NLST I ran to the Paris showroom . These clothes are everything I want to wear this year , oh and maybe throw in there a couple of vintage YSL items and some \u00a0Celine while you are at it.<\/p>\n

The New York Times wrote about it :\u00a0NLST, a new line of clothing with a military slant, is arriving at stores this month. Designed by the elusive team behind the denim and leather label R13, the line is made entirely with Japanese surplus sateen. But what sets it apart are the fresh shapes \u2014 these utility pants have a slight drop crotch and tapered legs \u2014 and authentic details, like\u00a0melamine\u00a0surplus buttons and standard Army-surplus stitching and pocket construction. And how nicely the pieces will mix with your modern wardrobe. Imagine the utility pants with, say, a collarless C\u00e9line shirt; a khaki surplus shirt with patchwork jeans or a sleek pencil skirt; or the camo jumpsuit with spaghetti straps under a cool bomber jacket. These are the kinds of wardrobe staples that get the best mileage.<\/em><\/p>\n

And from their R13 line for pre spring 2015 this is what I am loving . It reminds me of Malcolm McLaren and his early 70’s Seditionaries collection , the skinny grungy punky California kids you see skateboarding and hanging out here , their plaid shirt tails wrapped around their butts , a mix of utility clothes, military surplus stuff and oversized torn fleeces. Malcolm Mclaren’s tartans meet Venice Beach and the kids from Larry Clark films and Ryan McGinley photos .<\/p>\n

I tried some of those boy’s vintage t shirts in the showroom . They hang and slouch just so perfectly unperfect.<\/p>\n
